A Cherry Blossom inspired shoot featuring sweetheart tables; candlelight and a cosy vintage sofa - creating a warm and inviting setting - set to feature heavily in 2018 weddings. A versatile set up to suit a country house, garden, vintage or fine art wedding.
The venue chosen for this shoot: a bijou converted cattle barn full of interesting features including exposed brickwork; an abundance of natural light; a geometric feature wall and ancient dark wood beams and panelling.
A variety of contrasting textures and materials were used in the styling of this shoot which sought to incorporate the quirky features of the barn, whilst maintaining an air of luxury and elegance.
Central to the mood of the styling was the colour palette. Taking inspiration from the spring flowering Cherry Blossom tree and combining this with hues of pink and red.
A luxury floral runner of pink, vibrant red and deep burgundy David Austen roses and grey, green foliage enveloped the table.
Styling was kept simple and the table left uncluttered, allowing the flowers to take centre stage. The cool grey undertones in the foliage were complimented with dove grey linen, marble place names and chrome decor - anticipated to be one of the metallic colours of choice in 2018, alongside brass.
The Botanical Shed created a show stopping circular ceremony backdrop which was styled with our artisan lanterns. The two meter floral wreath, a take on the popular flower wall, but with a more unique and creative look - with a touch of symbolism thrown in.
Another contemporary twist on classic romantic wedding decor was the inclusion of statement hanging installations. Geometrics are hugely popular in weddings and home decor and the geometric pendants incorporated into this design were decorated with floral crown style arrangements.
These statement pieces would look great in Boho and industrial style weddings. They are great for maximum impact and for adding depth to wedding design.
